Water Quality Lab Technician

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Water Quality Lab Technician to perform a variety of chemical, biological, and physical analyses on water samples. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory science, a passion for environmental health, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced lab environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, and analyze water samples using standardized laboratory procedures

  • Perform tests using ICPMS and Thermo Fisher Gallery

  • Maintain accurate records of test results

  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment

  • Ensure compliance with EPA, state, and local regulatory requirements

  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs

  • Assist with lab audits, inspections, and reporting

Qualifications:

  • Previous laboratory experience preferred (internships and academic labs accepted)

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory software

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with EPA and Standard Methods for water and wastewater analysis

  • Familiarity with LIMS or other lab data management systems

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
